Would it be possible to view the office space before booking a desk?

Yes, you can view the office space any Saturday by prior appointment between 10am and 12pm. You can contact our Office Manager via the website contact form.

What are your opening/closing hours?

We are open 24 hours a day Monday to Friday.  We will be opening at weekends after the lockdown has ended.

How much does it cost to rent a hot desk for 30 days?

An all-inclusive fee of £160 (plus a refundable deposit: see below) payable at the time of booking.

Do you require a deposit?

A small deposit of £50 is required to cover the cost of the front door security key. The deposit will be returned by bank transfer once the key has been returned. (There is a box in the office where the key can be returned once the booking period has ended.)

Are there terms and conditions?

Yes, you agree to these online as part of the booking process.

How do I renew my contract if I decide to stay longer than 30 days?

The booking process is online. You can book a dedicated desk for each 30 day period at anytime.

Can I rent a desk for a period that is less than 30 days?

No.

How do I book the meeting room?

The meeting room is for the exclusive use of our hot desk users. It is available for use between 8am-10am and 4pm-6pm Monday-Friday and can be booked via our own internal booking system.

Hot Desk At The Square is a quiet work environment. Are mobile phones allowed?

We appreciate that mobile phones are a necessity. However, our workspaces are quiet spaces so we ask that where possible phones are put on vibrate and phone calls are kept as brief as possible. Any potentially longer phone calls can either be taken in or moved to our breakout area away from our quiet work spaces.

Do you have an office manager?

Yes, we have a dedicated Office Manager who is available by phone and by email for the duration of your licence.

Do you provide any printing facilities?

No, but should you require any printing services we recommend YPD Creative located on Howard Street (just off Northumberland Square). Tel: 0191 257 5482.

Do you provide any phone receptionist facilities?

No, but should you require telephone answering services, we recommend Simply 66.co.uk who are a local company offering a low cost, high quality virtual receptionist service.

Could I use Hot Desk At The Square as my registered office while I am hot desking there?

No. We do not offer this service.

Do you allow pets?

No.

What kind of people will I meet at Hot Desk At The Square?

We have a wide variety of people who use our service. They include consultants, freelancers and entrepreneurs either working remotely or freelancing for themselves. Local businesses who temporarily have more staff than available space also use it.

Is there parking available on Northumberland Square?

Yes, metered street parking is available.
